Embracing Functional Fitness. As we age, the importance of maintaining good health becomes increasingly apparent. It's not just about living longer; it's about living well. At 67, I've discovered that achieving a healthy lifestyle involves not only physical fitness but also mental and emotional well-being.
I signed up a year ago with Goodnick who provide regular and increasingly strenuous exercise four times a week and provide the framework and motivation I need as I get older. They also provide input on healthy nutrition for older bodies! I also swim and walk daily and do regular yoga classes.
Keeping my brain active, I attend Spanish classes twice a week, use Duolingo and other language learning sites daily and continue working remotely with lovely clients.
Socially, I am better connected and more active than in the UK as the wonderful way of life here in Spain encourages social interaction and outdoor living.
We all need to find our own way forward on these fronts…😎
